3.15pm - 6.00pm during term time

8.30am - 6.00pm during Holidays

The Club is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday during term time, one week at Easter, one week during the October holidays, and 4 weeks during the summer holidays.

During term time the Club will operate from Cleish Village Hall. During the Easter, summer and October holidays, the Club will be based in the Fossoway Primary School, Crook of Devon.

Both premises are well maintained and provide excellent facilities for the Club to use. The Care Commission Scotland have approved both premises, the person in charge and the Service as a whole in accordance with the requirements of SSI 114.

The Club has a strong, child centred approach.  The child can choose what he/she wants to do from a variety of play opportunities and activities.

After School the range of activities includes arts and crafts, model making, construction toys and games. All play equipment meets relevant safety standards and is well mantained. A quiet area with a range of books is provided for rest and relaxation. The range of activities offered will widen as the Club develops.

Weather permitting, children have access to supervised play outside in both the Hall gardens. During the holidays the Club will offer outings to activities and local attractions. All activities will be risk assessed in line with club policy. Details of outings will be publicised to parents in advance.

Children aged 4 – 12

During term-time the Club is available for all children attending Cleish Primary School and locally based children.  Children are eligible to use the Club from the summer holidays before they start in Primary One to the summer following primary seven.

During Holidays and In-service days it is open to children from Cleish School in the first instance and may be extended to others from a wider area if capacity allows.

The Coos Club is a non-profit making Club with charitable status and is run by a Management Committee of local parents.

Our aim is to provide a high quality childcare service open to all children aged 4 - 12. It provides comprehensive and reliable care which meets the needs of the community whilst remaining child centred in its approach. We have a safe and healthy environment within which children can express themselves through arts and crafts, sporting activities and play. The Club experience also promotes children's education by encouraging the development of their social, creative and individual skills.

We rely on good communication with parents and children, listening to their ideas on how the Club should run and the activities we should offer, and responding to their needs.

Parents help out at fund-raising events and activities and through the input of everyone involved in the Club we aim to develop our service, enabling us to involve as many children as possible.

If after browsing through this site you have any ideas or suggestions, even if you are not a parent or directly eligible to use us, please contact us.
